Innovative Teacher

Every year, ISP awards a public school educator in Region 5 (Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties) who has demonstrated innovation in the classroom. We describe innovation as trying something new in an effort to broaden students' learning. This can include, but is not limited to incorporating a new teaching strategy, programming, collaboration, incremental learning and adaptation, or resources used within this school year.

Nominations are accepted September 1st through January 1st annually. The ISP committee reviews all nominations and chooses an awardee by February. The ISP Teach of the Year winner will receive a $1,000 classroom grant and be formally recognized at the Sourcewell Educators of Excellence Event.
